Founded in Frankfurt am Main in 1872, Engelhard Arzneimittel has long been a trusted name in health. With Velgastin, the company aims to strengthen its offering by entering the gastrointestinal space with a third, non-seasonal indication in the OTC/OTX sector.

The challenge: to stand out in a crowded market filled with well-established products. The initial target audience: young parents. Together with Engelhard Arzneimittel, we chose a new path for product introduction – digital first, with a strong focus on organic reach and a matching SEO strategy. The first step was to position Velgastin as a trustworthy brand and reliable service partner for the indication “bloating in babies and pregnant women,” combining emotional messaging with medically sound product information.

The brand website launched with an initial product for babies. Over time, it was gradually expanded to include additional formats for adults and more products addressing gastrointestinal issues. Today, the site has grown into a comprehensive content hub with helpful articles focused on bloating and gut flora in babies and pregnant women. The brand’s visibility and awareness have steadily increased, and engagement on the site has significantly improved.

From day one, SEO and organic visibility were core priorities. A wide range of editorial content was created, including magazine articles, exclusive expert tips, interviews with midwives and bloggers, and video and podcast features. The site offers an ideal entry point into the topic through its information and services, positioning Velgastin® as a go-to resource for baby and pregnancy-related bloating.
Thanks to its modern and carefully crafted brand presence, the combination of products, content, and services unfolds its full impact across all touchpoints and audience segments.
